What is Supported Independent Living (SIL)?
Supported Independent Living is NDIS funding for help with everyday tasks at home, such as personal care, meals, household routines and building daily living skills. It pays for the support workers, not the rent or the house itself. Your plan's SIL funding is based on the level of support you need, and it is separate from your housing arrangements.

How to get started with SIL
- Talk to us. Call, email or use our form. We'll listen to your goals and answer your questions, with no pressure.
- Check your plan. SIL is funded only when it is included in your NDIS plan. If you are not sure, we can help you understand your plan or connect you with your support coordinator. We also offer support coordination.
- Meet the home and the team. Where possible, we arrange visits so you can see the home and meet staff before you decide.
- Plan your support. We agree on supports, routines and goals, and put them in a service agreement you understand.
- Move in and settle. We help you transition at your own pace, and we review your support regularly.
